First Holiday Card

August 15th and this is my first holiday card of the season.   Hopefully I will get more under my sleeve as time goes on but this is a good first start.   The little tricks to this card was stamping the image twice once in Shaded Spruce and then in Real Red and fussy cutting the ornaments and gluing them on top of the Shaded Spruce images.   The FA LA LA... comes from cutting it from the Merry Bold & Bright DSP.

Stamp Sets:  Cheers to the Season
Ink:  Real Red and Shaded Spruce
Paper:   Joy of Christmas, DSP, Merry Bold & Bright DSP, Whisper White and Real Red
Accessories:   Real Red Ribbon

Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks

The holiday mini is out for us demonstrators on preorder.    I only got a few things.   Some DSP, Joy of Christmas, Merry Bold and Bright, two stamp set, Cheer to the Season and So Sincere and the new stencils called Abundant Beauty.    It is a must have in my book.   So easy to make these beautiful flowers.   I think even easier than actually stamping them!    So easy to layer and so easy to use.   I ended making a card and then a scrapbook page with some of the same elements.    In the scrapbook page I ended up adding the Delightfully Ecletic DSP, Crumb Cake and Ombre Matte Decoarte Dots to add to the page.

So happy there are so many amazing products from Stampin' Up! that made creating this page so easy.

Organizational Tip

So when you have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for over 19 years it gets to be a little challenging to know what is current and what is not especially when there is a recent color refresh and new favorites come back.    So until I am ready to commit to a complete paper pack of the new colors, I get a color family paper pack and try to keep it in the flimsy plastic wrapping even the scraps but it gets a little challenging to take the paper out and not rip the packaging.   So I was trying to find a solution to keep the paper near me when creating and easily accessible.   I found these reusable dry erase pockets.   They are made for dry erase markers and for little ones practicing their abc's and their math problems and not wasting paper.   Just write and wipe off.      They are just perfect for making my paper packs accessible.   I made a color cheat sheet on top so I can easily return the papers to appropriate folder.  Winning!!!!

Brew For You

I couldn't resist this week's Inspired By challenge.   Being able to create another card with the Brew For You stamp set is always a win.   Beer cards are perfect for the go to card for the men in my life.    So it never hurts having another one on hand.

Definitely use your Stamparatus for these beer mugs and definitely make more than one.   You will thank me for it.   So much easier when you already have a few on hand when inspiration hits.

The card is finished off with Matte Dots and Delightfully Eclectic DSP.

Sweet!

This week the Paper Players challenge us with projects featuring things you can eat.    Well I just love all the goodies in the Super Cool stamp set and when I found that there is cute coordinating paper in the Delightful Eclectic DSP that made the project easy to come together.

First I started with sponging on Bubble Bath for the background followed by stamping the sentiment and the cake.   I masked with tape the strawberry so it wouldn't stamp.  Then on a separate piece or paper I stamped the strawberry and fussy cut it.   It was a little bit of work, but it made the strawberry pop.   The Scalloped Contours edge, Matte dots and twine complete the project as well as strip of Early Espresso card stock.  The little banner was free form cut.

Thank you Paper Players

Thank you to the design team of the Paper Players challenge blog for the shoutout and highlighting my project this week.    I had so much fun creating this card and it warms my heart that it caught your eye of your design team.  Check out my project as well as other beautiful creations at the following link
Thank you again!!!

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop - July 2023 Grid Pattern

Can you say I am excited that I had the time and the creativity to come up with a scrapbook page for this month's Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop!    The pattern is a grid pattern.   I was looking for ideas and then I saw the checkerboard pattern and immediately thought of the 80s.   I am a child of the 80s.   We had high hair, ridiculous fashions and the best music ever!!!    I made some of the best friends and most are still a big part of my life.   I also made the best memories with them.    I picked out some of my favorites and added them to the page.

The background was made with square punch.   The title was stamped with Alphabest stamp set.   The sentiments come from the Flowers of Friendship and Waves of Inspiration stamp set.   The color palette is Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Lemon Lime Twist.   The images come Epic Celebrations.   3/4 square punch cut outs were cut in a diagonal to make a triangle and the heart punches were the finishing touch to the project.

The next stop in the blog hop is Cheryl Taylor.

Level Complete

So I started with a sketch as inspiration, but then the card took on a life of its own and it looks nothing like the original sketch.    Here is the Level Complete stamp set heat embossed with Blueberry Bushel and Real Red.    The number comes from the Alphabet stamp set.    The background is the Dots & Spots.

Sunday Stamps Challenge

This week's Sunday Stamps Challenge called to me because it has my favorite flower of all.  Daisies!!!    The striking color combination didn't go unnoticed as well.    I made the striped background with Azure Afternoon,  Balmy Blue and Lemon Lime Twist.     The flowers come from the Color & Contour stamp set.   The center was colored in with my Stampin' Blends.    The sentiment comes from two stamp set, Biggest Wish and Everyday Thanks.    I masked the Everyday Thanks so I only got part of the sentiment.   Opal Rounds complete the card.
