Love You

This week we celebrate Autism Awareness Day.    Spencer's Set from The Project Bin was created for that specific reason.    I just love the heart and the beautiful sentiments in Spencer's Set.    It is a must have.    I decided to use my Little Letters to diecut Love and then the You comes from Celebrate You thinlits.    The heart was colored in with my Stampin' Blends.   Love that the card is one layer and no embellishments.   Simplicity at it's best.

Baby Boy

Here is another Punches Three card but this time ready for a little baby boy.     I used a old designer series paper from TPC Studio and added some fun enamel dots and the card was complete.   So quick and easy to make.     Love the primary colors.   May need to do another baby card in these great colors.

Welcome to the world

So how cute is this little giraffe from Hampton Art.    There are so many cute little animals in the set.   It is a must have.     I diecut the heart and then added the clouds and the giraffe.   So cute.      The giraffe was colored in with my Stampin' Blends. The sentiment comes from Verve stamps.     The yellow gingham designer series paper is from The Paper Studio.

Baby Girl

So I have a baby shower to attend this weekend.   As always when going to a baby shower.   I have to make more than one card.    Everyone in my family will be asking for a card and I have to make sure I have plenty on hand in case someone needs one.

For this card I pulled out a retired stamp set called Punches Three.    I used the large oval to punch it.   I layered it on top of an Oval diecut.    The border punch is an old Martha Stewart one that I just love!!        The designer paper comes from Recollections Barnyard Table.     Love the fact I used no embellishments on this card and there is still a wow factor.

You are my Sunshine

Here is another page layout I made with my guy.   I think he was only like 18 months in these pictures.   So cute.   There are so many fun elements on this page.   The majority of the paper and embellishment come from Bo Bunny their Boardwalk line.     The sand dollar was die cut is from Reverse Confetti.     The embellishments come various stickers and set like Paper House, Adrift and Carta Bella Ephemera.

6 months

So it doesn't seem possible, but it's only been 6 months since my guy passed.   Not a day goes by that I don't think of him.   He is missed.    A friend of mine asked if I get sad when I scrapbook pictures of him and to tell you the truth it helps me to keep his memory alive.

The Project Bin's Kinda Sorta stamp set has the perfect sentiment. I like walking down memory lane because I love running into you.     It wraps up the way I feel.

The colors are Blushing Bride and Old Olive.    The leaves were diecut from the Rose Garden thinlits.     The florals come from the Seasonal Layers thinlits.     The forever is from Little Yellow Bicycle.    The designer paper is the Merry Little Christmas and  My Mind's Eye Lost & Found.     I added a few butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.

Easter Peeps

This week at Simons Says Stamp the challenge is an Easter project.   I few months ago I stumbled upon some great plaid papers in the Clearance Rack at Hobby Lobby.   I knew I wanted to incorporate them into the challenge.   The plaid papers come from Echo Park and from The Paper Studio.    The little chickies come from the Lawn Fawn Science of Love.   The sentiment comes from the Verve Chicks Rule stamp set.    A strip of Pink Pirouette and a floral punched from a EK Success punch complete the card.

Happy Birthday Pops

So I am happy to say I actually made time this week for a sketch challenge.   I can't remember the last time I was able to do one in time to submit.     I love the triangle shape of this week's Freshly Made Sketch.  I thought the Tailored Tag would make a good vintage background.   So then as soon as I did that I knew I had to pull out the Jukebox Birthday for the occasion.      The colors are Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder and Wild Wasabi.    A strip of Stacked with Love designer series paper, rhinestones and baker's twine complete the card.

So if you haven't checked out The Project Bin.   It is a must now.    Denise the founder and designer of the stamp line is knocking it out of the park with her amazing designs.    She just came out with a new set called Deer Mom.   It has so many beautiful sentiments for mother's day.    I decided to incorporate them on a scrapbook page featuring my mom.     How great is the sentiment,  Out of all the moms in the word, I'm so glad you're mine.     I have a picture of my mom with all her kids and grandkids.   I just love these photos.

The page background is Pink Pirouette card stock layered with Dear Lizzy Lovely Day designer paper, Calypso Coral card stock.    Dear Lizzy alphabet stickers, rhinestones, twine and sequins complete the project.

Thank you

So I had a few thank you cards that had to go out.   I knew I wanted to use the Lots of Lavender stamp set.   It is by far one of my favorites that I earned during Sale-a-bration.  I colored in the florals with my Stampin' Blends.    The sentiment comes from the Heartfelt Bloom stamp set and it was heat embossed.   The designer series paper comes from Stacked with Love.    I colored in my Perfect Accents with my Sharpies and the card was complete.

Sunshine swagger

This little bird is one of my favorites from Unity, it is called Swagger.   I love this little guy along with the cute little sentiments in the set.    Here is another tag turned card project.    I used the Sunburst thinlit for the background.   I colored in the bird with my Stampin' Blends.

Craft Organziation.

So I spent the weekend cleaning up and organizing my craft area.   Two long and exhausting days.  I can't remember the last time I did this.  It's been over two years of just dumping things if not more of piles just being dumped and not looked at.   I had over 6 garbage bags when I was done along with piles and piles to donate, give aways and eventually sell.    I have come to the conclusion, I am a craft supply hoarder.   I did learn something in the end.  I need to start crafting and creating.   No holding back.

Part of the disarray is that I move all my essentials and favorites upstairs.    The temperature controls are better upstairs.   I also can watch tv while crafting and I also get to craft anytime inspiration hits.  I don't have to worry about the temperature warming up or cooling down.

Here is the craft area upstairs.

Followed by my craft storage area downstairs.

I even found a great way to handle all my buttons and brads that I am no longer using.   I put them in baskets and in 12x12 craft holders.    It brings me peace in being able to locate them faster and they look so neat in a row.

Lastly, I even took odd and ends I am not using and made a craft area for the kids.    They have their own dedicated area so when they come over they can use whatever is in this corner.   All my good stuff is on high shelves and put away.

Thinking of You

So I had a little fun in making some tags and then turning them into card.    Here is the Boldly Believe stamp set from Unity.   I layered it on top of Coffee Break designer series paper and strip of Paper Studio designer series paper.     I then took the same tag and turned it into a card by just adding layers of white card stock and dimensionals along with a sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.

You are Amazing

So the last project for today is my You are Amazing card.    It is made with the Jillibean Soup Friends stamp sets.     It has so many cute images and amazing sentiments.    I first watercolored my background with the Fired Brick and Wilted Violet distress inks.    I love the red and purple shades together.     I heat embossed the diamonds in gold.   The sentiment was embossed in white.   Sequins, silver thread and rhinestones add bling to the card.    Strip of designer series paper from The Paper Studio completes the card.

Reach for the Sky

So here is a cute stamp set I got from Hampton Art called Reach for the Sky.   So many fun images, but by far one of my favorites is the little bear inside the hot air balloon.    So cute!!

The first thing was the water color background with my Soft Sky ink refill and aqua painters.    Next I stamped the balloon image.    I then stamped the balloon on a seperate piece of card stock and proceeded to paper pierce it and color it in with my Copic markers.   I then cut it out and attached it to the watercolor paper.     The butterflies and clouds were stamped and the paper pierced as well.   Two strips of cards for the background and sequins complete the card.
